In even numbered years, the entire Junior High takes a week-long School On Wheels field trip to Yosemite National Park. Amidst the incredible natural beauty of the Yosemite Valley, students work on Yosemite-related lessons covering writing, literature, history, math, science, art, and PE.
Students work together on both their academic assignments and on the typical camping tasks of setting up tents, cooking, and cleaning up.
In 2014, every student hiked to the top of Nevada Falls, and more than half of the students continued on to Half Dome. Teamwork and mutual support is evident in every hike.
