Lauren Johnson, Second Grade
ljohnson@pottervalleyschools.us
Room # 9
(707) 743-1142 x.109
Lauren Johnson grew up in Potter Valley and graduated from the High School. She would also continue on to graduate from Chico State. Working with kids at Ukiah S.P.A.C.E. program and being a nanny in college is one of the many reasons why she wanted to become a teacher. Because she enjoyed the one big family type of community Lauren decided to move back home. She has now been teaching the 2nd grade for 4 years.
Every student should feel confident and safe in their learning environment. We can create life-long learners by fostering children’s natural drive to learn. We must understand that every child is different and with that comes different learning styles and needs that must be met. As educators, we must be constantly adapting and experimenting with new techniques and strategies to meet the needs for our classroom.
