In addition to our regular academic program, Potter Valley Schools value supplemental activities like field trips, drama, and special community nights.

Students at Potter Valley Schools have attended field trips to Yosemite National Park, Living History trips at Fort Ross and the Tall Ship Balclutha, the Exploratorium, Safari West, the Tech Museum in San Jose, Bodega Bay, Mendocino Woodlands Outdoor Education, the Ronald Reagan Library and the Getty Museum, performances at Mendocino College, tours of local fish and hydro projects, and many more.

Our STEM Academy provides extra summer project-based science, art, and math instruction to interested students, and is combined with college tours across the state. Students have visited from USC to Humboldt State.

Our Grandparents' Day Celebration, held the Friday before Memorial Day, is an open house and fun day for parents and grandparents to watch a performance, participate in activities, and tour classrooms. Each elementary class produces a bound book for the Young Author's Fair which is showcased at this event.

Other events have included our Halloween Carnival and Science Night.
