![]() We are excited to announce the return of the Science Fair to Potter Valley Elementary School. Some details are still being finalized, so please check back for more information including rules, guidelines, and entry forms. To get the gears of innovation turning you can have a look at The Science Fair Flyer here.
The Handbook containing the guidelines for entry and competition can be found here in Word Document Format and also in PDF Format. To participate in the science fair, you'll need to register by Friday, February 26, 2021. To do so please follow this link to the Intent to Participate Form. Projects will be uploaded to FlipGrid in March. All entries in FlipGrid are due by March 14th. To enter your project, you will record a 2-5 minute video. This video will include your oral explanation of your demonstration or experimental results. You can use the aid of a digital presentation (such as Power Point), or a trifold. If you use a tri-fold, please be sure to include close up viewing of your poster board after you complete your presentation. To record your video, please proceed to flipgrid.com, and use the join code donham7047. You will be prompted to enter your Potter Valley student email address. Once you have entered the site, please pick your appropriate grade and type of project (either Demonstration/Display or Experiment/Scientific Inquiry). Then record your video! Judging will take place on March 15th. The FilpGrid site will then be available for student, parent, and community viewing on March 16th and 17th. Ribbons will be distributed March 22-26th. A virtual awards ceremony will be held on March 25th at 6:00pm. More details will be coming. |
