Art at Potter Valley schools isn't an afterthought. Students do amazing and powerful works spanning multiple media and techniques, with projects that integrate back into other academic subjects.
During a full year of Art, high school students will have a chance to work with pencil, charcoal, paper, acrylic paint, and ceramics, in a variety of projects. Students taking additional years of art have opportunities to choose their own projects. |
Illustrated Children's Portrait Project
High School art students painted line drawing portraits created by the Kindergarten and 1st grade classes to create some impressive collaborations. Each work started as a pencil line drawing, as to the right. The high school students then colored and shaded the drawings with acrylic paint. Full album can be viewed here. |
