PVFFA has about 95 rostered members beginning in the 8th grade through high school. â€‹Participation in the Potter Valley FFA program provides students with a variety of opportunities to gain knowledge in agricultural based career training, leadership, and basic job skills.​

​​

​As an FFA member, not only are they given an abundance of support by their advisors, fellow students, community, and district faculty, but they are also offered a place to house and raise their FFA animals, no matter the size, in addition to developing and benefiting from the following:

 

  • Leadership skills

  • Increased awareness of the importance of agriculture and its contribution to our well being.

  • Confidence in themselves and their work

  • Promotes the intelligent choice and establishment of an agricultural career

  • Achievement in supervised agricultural experience programs

  • Management of economic, environmental and human resources of the community

  • Interpersonal skills in teamwork, communication, human relations and social interaction

  • Builds character and  promotes citizenship, volunteerism and patriotism

  • cooperation and cooperative attitudes

  • Healthy lifestyles

  • Excellence in scholarship
