About Us
Potter Valley Community Unified School District is a rural school district in Mendocino County serving roughly 260 students ranging from TK through 12th grade. Our small student population means small class sizes which gives students the opportunity to receive a more personal, supportive, and family-like learning experience.
In addition to a small and safe environment, the following are just a few, of several, other benefits that we offer our students:
-
Free afterschool program to students in TK through 8th grade
-
State Preschool
-
Transportation to and from Redwood Valley and the Mendocino/Lake County line
-
Dual enrollment college programs
-
A school farm, orchard, and greenhouse
-
FFA, clubs, Student Government
-
A variety of sports for Jr/Sr. High School
-
E-sports
-
On-site student support/counseling services
-
And so much more!
Mission
The Potter Valley Community Unified School District provides a safe, sound, comprehensive educational environment with the participation of a supportive community. The district empowers all students with a common core of knowledge and skills which allows them to recognize their potential to become successful and active participants in our democratic society.
