Art at Potter Valley schools isn't an afterthought. Students do amazing and powerful works spanning multiple media and techniques, with projects that integrate back into other academic subjects.

Illustrated Children's Portrait Project
High School art students painted line drawing portraits created by the Kindergarten and 1st grade classes to create some impressive collaborations. Full album is here.

Each work started as a pencil line drawing, as to the right. The high school students then colored and shaded the drawings with acrylic paint.

During a full year of Art, high school students will have a chance to work with pencil, charcoal, paper, acrylic paint, and ceramics, in a variety of projects. Students taking additional years of art have opportunties to choose their own projects.
